'When the world cuts the ground from under your feet, it's good to be able to overcome gravity.'
"Diaries in Motion" is a modern circus show about the search for and discovery of freedom. When do we feel free? What does oppression do to us? And how can we overcome boundaries together?
Four artists from renowned circus schools in Berlin, Montpellier, and Kyiv come together to search for answers through the language of acrobatics and physical theater. They take the audience on an inspiring journey through the dreams and struggles of a generation that must stand up for its freedom.

A Show for our Time
We all strive to be free. But we live in a time in which freedom is threatened in very different ways – abstractly by polarization, or very concretely by war, displacement, or oppression. Do we find something unifying in our search for freedom, even if we bring very different experiences?
We want to approach this question through circus art and the diverse personal backgrounds of our artists, who come originally from Ukraine, Russia, and Austria and study at European circus schools. Circus arts play with imposing limits and overcoming them with seemingly superhuman skills. And all of this is possible through cooperation and trust. That is the message of "Diaries in Motion."
